Diane Boatman, current President of
MDMG, is not only a talented doll maker
in many media, but is an expert
costumer and sculptress, as well. All of
the dolls on this page were costumed by
her - the white gown on the left with
heirloom touches of pintucks, lace, and
touches of embroidery. The antique
reproduction doll above wears a pink
silk French costume with pleated skirt,
ribbon roses, and lace.
The Jester, right, is an original sculpt,
costumed in velvets, gold lame`,
Tapestry, gold trim, and bells.
The young man above right, Chester
Arthur McKinley IV, is also an original,
sculpted in polymer clay. He is obviously
a potential baseball great, thwarted by
his mother’s insistence on violin class
first, THEN baseball.
But, like any good scout, he is prepared
- with cap, ball, glove, and running
shoes!!
